quick search on product short desription

hi, does anyone know of a way to have quick search look up only data in the product 'short description' field.

Our current search returns too many results that can be a bit vague.
If we could could restrict search to just the short description that would be ideal.

unfortunately the search settings do not limit to just short description.

I think you'd be looking at some perl script mod to do this.
