Actinic Business keeps Crashing

Hi,
I have recently installed Actinic Business to a new computer. Since i have done this actinic keeps crashing and comes up with an error and will produce a .dmp file. I am stumped as to why. I am still using windows XP SP3 and made sure that everything was fully up to date before i installed actinic. I have even taken my antivirus off to see if that was conflicting the problem.
Its getting really annoying now. This started last friday and even with numerous reinstalls it is still the same. It took me until yesterday afternoon to persevere and by able to grab a site snapshot to send to support. No matter what i try/do actinic still crashes. I i try to preview the site it crashes, if i have a look at a product it crashes, really almost anything is causing it to crash

I'm hoping somebody out there will be able to help before i'm left hairless

make sure you are using version 9.04

have you tried a reinstall.

Compact database.

Its the latest version 9.04

i have tried reinstalling numerous times and still the same. i have compacted the database and gone back into actinic but it still crashes. It just crashed when i clicked on the design tab. I just do not understand what the problem can be

have you installed any custom jave script, or html that might be an issue.

I had this problem of crashing on design tab when \i inserted some java code,

I think you may have to roll back to your last snapshot or send the current snapshot to support.

i added a share button a couple fo weeks ago from here http://www.addthis.com/

no problems whatsoever with it until this fresh install

hi, did the design tab work ok when you added the code ?

If so then i am at a loss.
If you have actinic cover get them to take a look.

I ams ure someone else on forum might be able to help.

I would have thought it would be some custom code causing issue or corrupt database.

If you have a spare pc try loading just actinic on it and seeing if it still crashes.
If no spare pc then try a virtual pc

Are you convinsed it's not the computer that has a fault, maybe memory chip or disk fault, could try a defrag

wes, design tab worked with no problems at all. no errors no nothing.

chris, the computer is brand new and i have installed win xp SP3 on without any problems/errors along with all my other programmes so i'm not thinking its the computer. Although i better check to make sure 100%

Just did a fresh install of actinic after deleting all the old registry files and i managed to get into the design tab this time, didnt show up any errors but as soon as i wanted to go back into the design tree it crashed.

I'm off to install it on another machine to see if the problem persists.

tried that and still an error.

I have taken the add this button coding off and it seems to have solved the problem.
Strange though as the add this button has been on around 3 maybe 4 weeks and i have not had any problems before.
