    product columns

    Hi.
Our site will not list the products in more than one column. I have checked all the sizes in the style sheet and in the site options have changed the column option but still am having no luck.
Would there be anything else that I am missing?

    Many Thanks
    Leigh

If you've check Site Options, check the top of store Catalog Details> Layout and then check Section Details> Layout. If all of these are showing more than 1 product per column it is probably hard coded in you product list layout.

Hi this might be a stupid question but where do I get the store catalog details and section details. Are they an option in one of the menu options at the top of the page? Or are do you click on the catalog section in your site navigation tree thing.

      Thanks

I have found what you said to look for and they dont seem to make any changes. When I highlight the fragment that all the products are in it shows that it is only about a third of the width of the page. I cant find where this would be changed.

As I said it may be hard coded in the product list layout.

Without a URL to see this it is impossible to guess.

Contact your designer or contact Actinic support.

                hi,
thanks for all the replies, and the live site is not the one that has the problem so the URL wouldnt show the problem.
We have found where the problem was it was where you can click on the product layout in the pseudocode view then you can go in and edit the rows and columns, by clicking on the orange writing (click here to edit the list layout settings).
We needed to say what to put into the first and second column.

That's not where you'd go normally, you'd only have to do that if you had altered the list layout so that the standard actinic functions did not work. Revert the list layout back to factory settings in the design library and use the standard method, you won't get confused then.

The person who made the site no longer works here and I know that they changed a load of the code from the actinics standard so that the site would work in different ways. I am guessing that they would have changed the way that the list layout worked previously. And we have no way of getting in contact with them.
We checked a section that was working and that was how it was done there.
The problem occured when we had to use an old snalpshot due to us losing all of our sites when we had a computer problem, and alot of work had been done between that snapshot and us losing our files.
