    Navigation issues V9

First of all please be aware that I am a complete newbie to Actinic although I am an experienced web developer. I should also point out that I don't use Dreamweaver and it's not an option at this time. Please be gentle My problem is this, due to nature of my client's business we don't want brochure pages between the landing page and the products area but we do want the main menu on the left to have the look and feel of the top level menu (text with horizontal dividers). I have tried to get the links to point to the product pages but, short of hand editing the HTML, have had no success. I'm quite prepared to believe that I'm missing something really simple here but would really appreciate some guidance.

Have you RTFM? The Help notes (under the Help menu in the software), or the http://community.actinic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=27?

Yeah, I looked through manual and KB but no one seems to deal with this specific issue. To clarify (I may have ben a bit vague) as far as I can tell the way Actinic works on navigation is Welcome=> Brochure=>Products whereas I need to chop out brochure and go Welcome=>Products. The nature of client's business is such that we need very little granularity in brochure terms.

That's not how it works at all, you have brochure pages and sections, both have their own identities and work independently of each other. There is no requirement at all to go to brochure page before a section, that would just be plain silly and not very useful at all. Maybe you have your terminologies a bit messed up, tutorials on my site will get you back on track if so.

if you dont want brochure pages, simply delete them from the content tree - they are not mandatory

we need very little granularity in brochure terms.
tbh i've no idea what this means so my reply may not answer your question

Sorry, I unfortunately worked for a media agency until recently and still find myself using marketing **** from time to time What I meant to say was that in this particlar case the products are the brochure so no additional information is needed between arriving at the site and getting down to the serious business of spending money. I'll play with killing a brochure page and see if that gives me what i'm looking for. Thanks for the responses guys.

I think you need sections, not brochure pages. There is some cross over for sure, but in general a section (a page on a site) is what you put products on. No need for brochure pages.
