Fragment layout different on Home & About US

Have been trying all night to get my home page:

    http://www.mymerino.com/index.html

to have fragments in columns like my About Us page:

    http://www.mymerino.com/acatalog/MyM...-clothing.html

Some time ago I set up the first and last fragment to fill the width of the page and I have the column count for fragments set to 2 in the layout section of the page.

I get 2 columns on the about us page below a 1 column 1st fragment but on the home page the fragments are only 1 per colum. Am I missing something simple here?

Check they are both using the same fragment list layout.

      Thanks for the prompt reply

Hi Lee nice to talk to you again.

Yes when I look in the layout tab for each page the brochure fragment list layout is set to:

use parent (=standard brochure fragment list)

column count on both pages is 2. If I change the about us page to 4 I get 4 fragments across the page. If I change the home page to 4 nothing happens. I still have 1 fragment under the other.

fragment layout on both is use parent(=fragment layout using CSS)

      Can't figure it out.

Sounds a strange one i agree, there must be a simple answer though. On the layout tab of both pages, you are going to need to compare all fields. Something has to be making the pages different. Also, on the page that behaves, check each fragment for what layout it is using and compare against the others.

Have checked layout codes tabs for both pages and they match.

individual fragment layouts are different re titles, pictures etc. However, changing them to the same does not change the number of fragment column count.

The fragment layout for both pages also looks identical and uses the fragmentcolumncount variable for the nmiddle row number of columns on both pages. If I change the number on page settings to 4 on teh About Us page I get 4 fragments across the inner layout. Whatever number I use on the home page has no impact.

I agree should be something simple.

          thanks for your help lee

If they are not changing you need to navigate to the parent layout list (brochure fragment layout list ... or similarly named list) ... click on the orange link at the top and ensure the layout structure is still intact. This is where the numbers you enter are coded with the tables to form the 3 / 4 across etc.

              Hi Jont

I have checked there. Both pages are identically setup in the layout selector. 1st row 1 column, middle row actinic variable column count picked up from the layout tab on the page settings and bottom row 1 column.

If I change the column count on the About Us page it sets fragments to desired columns. If I do it on the Home page nothing changes I always have 1 column. I think I may be able to hard code the number into the layout selector for the Home page but I shouldn't have to do that.

Well I tried that. I hard coded 2 and then 4 into middle row. Guess what the home page did not change!!! The About Us page changed to the hard coded number.

I have reset it back to fragmentcolumncount variable.

I think it is the Home page that is not using the layour selector. Somehow the middle row value for column count is being overwritten.
