    Advice on Catalogue creation

I need to build a site for a motor part factor using v9 catalog.
Products will be selected from a range suitable for there car based on the following a bit like gsfcarparts.com
    TLS>>List Drop down for make,
then a List drop down for model,
then a List drop down for year.

therfore on the site it will show all products that the company does for that car.

A product may be available with the same product code but specific to the year eg a KN Panel Filter .

Any advice what would be the best way to accomplish this?
    My firt idea was>
Thinking either the above in sections, duplicating products, but can i have the breadcumb of the site on the invoice for each product? Or enable the extra info , but a pain for the customer to write in ( or can I fill this with the breadcrumb info? ie Ford>>Escort>>1992).
    or
Using the attributes/wearch, but as not all years version will have the same parts available so they would have to be nested correctly each tim

    Any other ideas????

You're not the first parts dealer to have asked about something like this.

Try a bit of searching "parts" "spares", etc and see what's been discussed before.

Unfortunately this is a big forum so there will be many non-relevant posts around the gems.

I'd also recommend having a think about hom many products you will want to be adding ultimately. I'd imagine Actinic long term will not be the right choice for the shear number of products you will have. I'd look at alternative online solutions personally.

this is not a feature of actinic, you'll have to code this yourself or find someone to do it
