    Additional Items in Shopping Cart

    HELP!!
I have just started using SagePay (Originally Protx) for taking payments online.
However ... for some unknown reason when a customer places an order and pays via this method, when it arrives with me and I download the order there are additonal items added into the shopping cart?

The items haven't been paid for and the customer doesn't see these additions. It only appears my end?

Why is this happening? I have other methods of payment such as Paypal and HSBC e-secure payments and this does not happen.

    Any ideas please?

No components in place on the troubled products? I find it hard to see how sagepay could be causing this, certainly sounds a weird one. I'd do a database compact and then a purge and refresh from the troubleshooting menu and see if that solves it. Make sure it is not orders getting messed up rather than people getting things added that they never asked for. Happenign all the time or has someone found an exploit perhaps?

Thanks Lee, I have actually already done a Database Compact and Refreshed through the trouble shooter and this still doesn't solve anything.
I can't believe Sage Pay would cause this either, but like I said it only happens when using this form of payment.

It does happen with ever order? It adds one other items for every product ordered. So if they order 2 items it will add an additional 2 to the order and so on ..... Crazy!

An Actinic Developer built the site for me and even he is stumped!

I have tried calling the technical help line and well .... I say no more!

is it happening on test orders that YOU are making?
Do you receive a copy of the customers order email so you are able to definitively compare the customers order email against the downloaded order quantities for that order?
As Lee asked, are there any components involved? Are you sure it's not just the component quantity orderline that is showing in the downloaded order that you're thinking is wrong?
Can you show 2 identical test orders that you've done with different payment methods that show this problem?

Lastly, a URL and link to products that seem to be affected would help.

Yes I have tried several test orders myself and it still happens.

I do receive a copy of the customers order by email so I am able to see what they originally ordered and what has been added when it gets to me, but this isn't exactly helpful, because when you print the packing list and invoice I get the additonal products on them.

I have several products that have components and several that don't and it happens with both.

I am using HSBC and Paypal currently and have no problems with these at all. As soon as I activate Sagepay and people use this method of payment it happens.

It isn't affecting specific products it happens with everything you add to your shopping cart? I have tried ordering almost everything in my catalogue and it never adds one specific thing its always random? Which is also very odd!

I guess I will just have to scrap SagePay and make do with the payment methods I do have and know work!

This is a very odd problem and suggests there's a serious problem somewhere. You should definitely report it to actinic as a bug and get them looking at it.

Was there a particular reason for wanting Sagepay? If you're looking to reduce costs then Actinic payments are reasonable and have good integration with V9. Another option would be to join someone such as BSSA who have negotiated good rates with HSBC for merchant accounts and epayments.
