Special Delivery cost on a single product group

I know this may be a simple question, but I cannot work it out.

In our catalogue we use zone pricing for carriage and offer a fixed price for each zone - it works very well.

I now have a promotional item that I want to sell and have a lower carriage price which will be the same for all zones

The product (5) have been placed in a single product group

How can I create this as a different delivery cost without undoing the zonal delivery costs I have?

A discount/coupon code does not work as I cannot have a £/% off discount as all zones have different starting costs

Any ideas?

You could set up a catagory and associate that cat to the product (product | details), or up the sale price of the item to absorb the postage costs and exclude said product from the "Shipping Band Calculation" and promote the fact that this item is free P&P.
