Problems with fields in MOTO forms

Using v9.05

I have just started to look at using the MOTO form for 2 different sites. I have found 2 problems which I am still investigating:

1. There are no values in the "List Layout Settings" for any of the layouts. I copied/pasted these values manually from the Actinic default site. I had a further problem after closing Actinic that the values I manually entered were removed.

2. The layout selectors for several of the fields in the MOTO form did not have any values selected. I had to go and manually select these.

Both of these sites were originally developed in v7/v8 and have gone through several upgrade paths.

Anybody else had these problems?

Yes. I solved by switching the MOTO tab off.

For anyone searching the forum and finding this.

I have spoken to Actinic support and they are aware that this is an issue and provided me with the following fix:

1. Go to your site folder and open the ActinicCatalog.mdb file up in Microsoft Access

2. Delete or rename the ContentList table

3. Drag and drop the ContentList table from the file ActinicCatalog db in the

Original folder site (C:\program files\Actinic v9\original)

4.Save the moto file attached to this email, to your desktop

5. Now open Actinic software and import this design snapshot through

File --> Snapshot --> Import Design

9. Check MOTO form it should be OK

I have attached a zipped version of the snapshot file, as .acd files cannot be added as attachments. Therefore you will need to unzip the attached file first.

I just tried this but got the following error:


The design to be imported was created by a different version of Actinic (9.0.5.0.0.0.JHZA). This version (11.0.0.0.0.0.LKEB) can import a design created by any release within the version 11 series, but not from earlier or later versions.

There is 1 Fatal error

Anyone got a fix for version 11?

Sorry but I have not even looked at v11.0 yet and won't till the end of November at least. I would suggest you contact Actinic about this if you still have a problem.
