Selling things of different weights / by the lb

I have a customer wishing to sell some items in their catalog either of varying weights or by the lb.

But only certain items.

Is this doable in Actinic?

I've read a few of the threads on here about 'selling by weight' and 'selling by the metre' but none seem appropriate for my customer.

If the range is reasonably finite then you can do this via a product with a price that comes from a drop-down list of all possible weights. See the help for "Choice Dependent Pricing" for details.

If you want the customer to be able to enter an arbitrary and possibly fractional weight, you will need sophisticated Perl customisation.

I have an add-on "Basic Price Override" that can be adapted to do the latter.
