Error when removing country from shipping zone

    Hi,

I'm trying to remove USA and Canada from my "Rest of the world" zone to put them in their own category, but each time i try i get the following error message:

Catalog - pocket ashtray: Catalog.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x5ad71531"referenced memory at "0x00000014". The memory could not be "read".
Click OK to terminate the program.

I accidentally clicked on the "Database backup" when shutting down since having this error (force of habit).

    Hope someone can help.

        Hi,

I did find that post before i posted. I tried to follow the instructions, but my XP doesn't have "Speech and handwriting Recognition". So i couldn't do it. So it must be something else.

It was working perfectly before i tried to separate them out. I had USA and Canada in 2 zones and it only happened when i tried to take them out of one of them.

        Cheers,
        Angie

Okay, try compacting the databases using Actinic and then again in Access for good measure.

I had a database error because the country field I edited was too long once, so I know how pedantic it can be.

            Hi,
I've just deleted my shipping zones and started again and it looks like it's ok now?!

            Thanks for your help.

LOL Sorry it came to that, but does suggest that there might have been a corrupted database in there somewhere.

If you don't, make sure you compact your databases regularly.

              Glad you sorted it.
