    Page layouts differeing?

    Hi All

    I'm a bit flumoxed.
One of my product pages is not behaving the same as the rest and I can't understand why. It is leaving space for all the options that other products have (that this one does not).
    Wrong one:

    Should look like:
    [quote http://www.cottonbunting.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Pink_Candy_Bunting.html /quote]

I've looked at the layout of the page and they are the same. The main section layout is the same. The pink one has a sub section and halloween does not but this should make a difference should it?

I then deleted the old halloween page and created from scratch a new one. This fixed the problem is so far as the page looked perfact for about 5 mins and after uploading it went back to this layout. So now I don't know what else to do!

If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate trying them. Everything works - I just looks messy and for obvious reasons this si not a product I want to look messy at the moment!

    TIA

If you look at the page title of the screwed one, you will see it is showing some inline html, so i presume there is something being styled on the page that is not completed or opened or closed correctly, so the underlying html is shot.

I BET discounts are involved if there's a boat load of <br/> on page, the layout for them has a carriage return in it, which screws pages up as it adds the <br/> even if no message is added.

The html code is to make the section on the lhs orange. As far as I can see it's closed. I will try taking it off though to see if this makes a difference.

How have the options been removed? The code seems to be adding a heap of <br> break tags after the price. If the products are using the same product layouts I'd check the components/attributes layouts for code being added there.
They haven't been removed they just haven't been set up for this product as it is only available in 5m lengths. BUt the layout for this particular page seems to leave room for them but for the other page that doesn't have any options seems to close the gap? I did chech the attribute and options code and it is surrounded by blockifs.

what do you mean by discounts being involved? I have got offers (discounts) attached to this product if that is what you mean as we are emailing customers with offers to buy halloween. Is this a bug that I have to live with! or can i do something about it. (it's playing havoc with my OCD!)

The page title is the very top of your browser the blue bit with the minimise, maximise and close on the same line.

The fix to remove the multiple <br/> was to remove the <br/> from the discount code layout. I think what happens is that it cycles through the layout and adds a <br/> for every discount even if you have not specified the message to show, so for every discount you get a line break. It was an epic fail in the early day of V9, i'd have thought it was fixed now in later versions.

Lee you are my hero. I would never have even considered that that could have an effect at all.

Looking perfect now and my ocd is all calm again.
