adding compulsory fields to check out page - your help needed

Hello,

I've been asked to add two new fields to our check out pages and I was hoping you show me how I do this.

We already have a Name field (<Actinic:Variable Name="InvoicePrompt001"/>) but I need to add another field so we have:

First Name:
Second Name:

I also need to add a Land-line telephone field.

I've tried duplicating the code (<Actinic:Variable Name="InvoicePrompt001"/>) but can't work out where I need to go to define the Variable Name.

My new feeds also need to be compulsory.

Am I going about this in completely the wrong way? Any advice and guidance would be gratefully received.

I'm using Actinic 8.5.1.

V9 splits the name fields as a standard option, upgrade to that would be my recommendation.

The OrderScript.pl file will also need modifying to process any new fields (for example, if you need them to appear in the receipt page or on an email)

re-use and rename an existing compulsary field that you dont need

Thanks to everyone for their ideas. I've reused one of the existing compulsory field, as pinbrook suggested.
