Thanks - yes I tried that before but for whatever reason had no luck, hence storing the PDF's in a seperate folder in my Site 1. Maybe I'll try again. I guess I could just drag this folder back in as well.

Is it just me or does one end up with a lot of stuff in the Site1 folder that you are no longer using? But I take it the snapshot is all you need and just importing that back in is a good way to get rid of all the old files and pictures that I am not using anymore.

All - there has been progress with Actinic on the problem specified in the original post.

      I had this from Actinic
Can you tell me what anti-virus program you have installed? And if you have tried to upload to the site with it completely uninstalled from your PC?

Another Actinic user is experiencing an identical issue to you. He was running AVG on his Win 7 PC. When he uninstalled this the upload went through ok.
Instead of removing AVG I went into the menu and disabled the Resident Shield which allowed me to upload my sites.

From the menu "Resident Shield scans files as they as copied, opened and saved and if a threat is found, it forbids its activations."

So it looks like there is a conflict between the 2 products.
      Regards
      David

            Same Problem

            Hi,
I have just upgraded from our old laptop working on XP.
Never had a problem with up loading then. Our new PC is windows 7.
two days in and cannot upload! it starts and then dissapears no notification just fades away, anything between 5 seconds into checking catalogue and once checking catalogue completes.
            Only have about 300-400 products.

            Is this the same problem?
Our webdesigners reinstalled it for us who is an actinic partner, shouldnt they know if there are issues?
Hope I havnt got to reinstall onto laptop as it became unbearably slow!!!

Mandy, have you tried the usual suggestions for this scenario?
First one being to change the CGI Script Number (Web > Network setup)

                  change it to anything numerical

if its 1 right now then change it to 2 or 3, or 4, or 5 etc etc

                    Hi Jo,
                    Thanks! tried changing cgi value.

                    No difference though.
Looks like I will have to wait untill tomorrow when our web guys are in.

                    Cheers Mandy

I had the same problem which is now fixed after disabling AVG resident shield. Thanks as i could only get the upload to work straight after a reboot most of the time!

Darren- I've just upgraded to a similar system- i7 processor, 64 bit windows 7 pro, 8gb ram. I upgraded to 9.05 from 9.02 (or possibly 9.01, I can't remember) at the same time with a clean install and snapshot import. It works wonderfully on my machine- error free, quick upload etc, no print delays (10 seconds on Vista). I've been running it for 3 days with plenty of orders and no problems so far.
                          Hope this helps.

                            Thanks Ben

I am not planning to run actinic on it straight away its for testing some new back office systems running MSSQL but once i have finished testing i'll use this box for everyday stuff and buy a high spec server once i know what software im going to run.

Just wanted to know if anyone had any major issues to watch out for - i appreciate the feedback

I uploaded our catalogue onto our Windows 7 machine, while we were on holiday, as it's the only machine we had with us.
I'd tested the upload before we left and it appeared fine.
However, when I tried to upload while we were away, it didn't work at all.
It did EXACTLY the same as the OP. Just stopped while checking html pages with no warnings, no errors, nothing.
Actinic was completely usable after it'd stopped too, as in the OP.
I tried various things to make it work. Changing script ID, reimported original snapshot (MANY times!) and uploaded unchanged, checked for antivirus program interference but nothing I tried worked.

There's definitely something amiss between the 2.
