    Adding link on Nav Bar

I've made a brochure page called "Delivery" where it has all the info for delivery prices.
I'd like to add a link next to Terms and Conditions at the top bar of the site grafea.co.uk. When a customer clicks on a text called Delivery, then the Brochure page "Delivery.html" will be displayed.

How do I do that please ?

Go to the "Design" tab in actinic and select the split view, which should show you a preview and either the layout tab or details tab.

      Does that make sense?

What happens is the theme I'm using doesn't add any brochure pages to the PreviewHTML directory.

When I add the following on the nav bar:

        <a href="Delivery.html" target="_self">Delivery</a>

It tells me that the page Delivery.html cannot be found.

Strange. I just put your link into a fresh site with no problems, as a matter of fact i can put what ever hard link i want into the design without any problem.

What theme is your site based on?

I am using the theme "Prime".

In fact if I use the "BrochurePageURL" variable it gives me a code error:

The "BrochurePageURL" variable has been placed within the 'Works Best with Prime' layout but it won't work there.

I'm wondering if there is a way of enabling and disabling brochure pages.

You can hide them on the site.
But i still have no problem adding the link to nav bar at the top.

I do know when you add a brochure page it will automatically add it to the menu on the bottom left, in which case you will need to hide it.

Are you putting the link within <div id="prime-navbar">???

I think I probably solved it:

The "Delivery.html" page is translated inside the PreviewHTML directory as "P_Delivery.html".

Why most pages are duplicate inside this directory half of the start with the letter "P" ?

I see what you mean now.
your using the site preview to check to see if it is alright before uploading.

Also I see when I do a current page preview of the new page the name of the page is p_index.html.

You might have to publish the site for the change to take effect as any other pages i add also come up with p_index.html
                      Or Try
Web --> Generate Web Site from the menu at the top??

Strange one this, might be a bug

What happens Actinic creates a "P_Delivery.html" inside the "PreviewHTML" direcory but when you upload the site it doesn't create the proper "Delivery.html".

I can solve this by copying and renaming the "P_Delivery.html" file manually inside the PreviewHTML directory before updating the site but this is not ideal.

I would expect Actinic to do this automatically.

                          So which one is it?
                          I'm getting confused

Actinic is doing this properly, as p stands for preview and puts them in the previewHTML folder. When you upload it generates the proper files in another directory called siteHTML

Ok, When I finally uploaded my website it does work online.
The "P_Delivery.html" from the PreviewHTML is translated into "Delivery.html" inside the SiteHTML directory.

However when I click "Preview store" and check my website offline, when I click on the "Delivery" link I get this error message:

No web page was found for the web address: file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Administrator/My%20Documents/Actinic%20v9/Sites/GRAFEA%20UK/PreviewHTML/Delivery.html

I don't quite understand why it works online but not offline !!

                            Let me recap:

A brochure page with the name "Delivery.html" creates a file "P_Delivery.html" inside the PreviewHTML directory.
Then when I update the website the "P_Delivery.html" file is subsequently translated into ""Delivery.html" file inside the "SiteHTML" directory.

                            However if I put a link: <a href="Delivery.html" target="_self">Delivery</a>

this will only work online but not offline as there is no "Delivery.html" file inside the "PreviewHTML" directory.

                            Any ideas?

It's a hard coded link versus a system managed link, that's all. Everything else is perfectly normal. If you hard code to P_ then offline will probably work and online won't.
