    Search Engine Optimization Within Actinic

I have recently completed a web design course in University and have been taken on by a company to produce a new website for them using Adobe Flex which I am quite experienced with, however they also require their existing website, which was produced and is administrated by them through actinic to be better search engine optimised for the web to increase their online ecommerce potential.

The problem is I have zero experience in using actinic and search engine optimizing sites with this being my first venture into the real worl so to speak so all I can offer them is tips on how to modify the sites content from their end in order to make it better optimized. My client has asked me to come up with a list of things that would achieve this but I'm pretty stumped at where to start.

Can anyone suggest what sort of things a regular user (not a web designer) can do in order to change an ecommerce sites content (images, text, titles etc) to make it better optimized for the web and basically more visible to potential customers?

    Welcome to the Community Gary.

My advice would be to have a good look around the the software, and use the in built help to clarify what you can do in particular areas.

Having a good read of the site review thread will give lots of info on SEO, quite often with links to Knowledge Base articles and even step by step instructions.
