Normatrix/lightbox

another question!

got the normatrix working yesterday and exchanged many mails with the very patient norman who guided me through it, i'm presuming here that he doesn't work weekends which is why i'm posting here . . . .

i have just realised that with products in the normatrix and the layout chosen as 'quantity matrix layout using CSS' i lose all my lightbox images that are normally below. if i change it back to standard layout using CSS the lightbox images come back but i lose the normatrix . . . .

any ideas what i've done please !

You don't need to select the layout for each product. Put the Lightbox code in any product layouts you are going to be using on the site is easiest. If you don't fill something in for the Lightbox images then it won't appear on the page anyway.

thank you very much you're a star! now, can i make that apply to all the pages that i would use the normatrix layout with? make it a default setting? if i was going to choose this layout it would be for products that have a number of extra images, or would i have to alter each one as i go along.

and my next daft question after that would be how do i know which line to put the code in so the lightbox images appear at the bottom where i normally have them.

oh my god i managed it lol . . . . . i put the code under the line that had this actinic:variable name="ProductDescription" / as i figured it was going from top to bottom it made sense to put it underneath and it seems to have worked lol.

i'm not sure if i'm explaining this properly, i'm only choosing a different layout when i using the normatrix, otherwise it is set as standard layout using CSS. what i do need is the lightbox images to be present in the normatrix layout all the time - sorry if i'm confusing the issue, all this terminology is quite new to me, life was so easy with actinic express

erm, i obviously misunderstood your reply i've just looked again and ALL the lightbox images for all the bits i put on yesterday !

this truly is some sort of wizardy you know there, i'll have to read the book one day lol.

no it's all honky dory ! i'm stunned i managed it with my 'guess as you go along' methods but it appears to have worked, thanks to your good self of course, i'll put the ibuprofens away now lol
