    Teclan Reviews

Has anyone used any Teclan plug-ins or their installation services?
I'm keen to buy the Single Page Checkout plug-in (+ installation) but would like to know if the service is any good.

We recently had Teclan install their Single Page Checkout onto www.eyebrooktackleshop.co.uk. They use remote login facilities and it takes about 10 - 15 minutes.

It worked first time. Client is very happy. I'm happy. Job done.

Having watched the installation in progress, I'm very happy that I paid them to do it for me!!

          and the same in Chrome

          crap!

The right hand column has made a reappearance and it sits on top of the "next" button (but in IE it is pushed under that main content). I'd taken it out of the cart/checkout pages once..... I've obviously done something.....

thanks for spotting this.... I know what I'll be doing tomorrow!!

I paid for the plug-in (including installation). Everything seemed great until:

              1. I tried customising buttons. The plugin wouldn't then work and had to be fixed by teclan.

              2. When I tested the site, the checkout wouldn't accept any card exiry dates when using Internet Explorer. I contacted Teclan, who were very quick and friendly, however they couldn't fix the probelm and offed me a credit note.

I bought and installed this plug-in, thought it was great until….

Started to get emails regularly from customers telling me the checkout got stuck.

Looked fine to me and Teclan but there was an issue.

Removed for a month and no checkout issues, put back and the emails came flooding back in.

I got a regular customer to test for me while I made changes. Whatever I tried with the plug-in she couldn’t use, if I removed then she could.

While I liked the look of it, I feel it caused too many issues so have removed.

                  Hi James,
I recall the issues you experienced with this plugin and we really appreciated the feedback you gave us at the time. This plugin uses AJAX extensively to process and deliver the checkout pages on the fly for the customer and as such the challenge for us now is how to delivery a fail-safe alternative to the customer when AJAX, through their browser, does not respond correctly.
Whilst throughout all the testing (cross browser, cross browser versions, server platform etc) we were not able to replicate this specific issue, it was clear that in certain instances for some people on a site there were issues.
It is something we take very seriously, to ensure that any plugins works on as many browsers and platforms as possible and we are continuing to investigate and update this plugin as we progress.

Feel free to get in touch with us James so we can check the version you have again and see what alternate options we may have for you.

I'm having this same problem in V10

Hi Goz - may I ask what you did to fix this issue? I forgot to remove the Teclan one page checkpout when I upgraded to V10 and now I can't get beyond selecting the country - and neither can any of my customers!

I've asked Support for help, but I haven't heard anything back yet and I'm missing sales every hour no-one can order. Thanks for any advice you can offer? Dorian.

The problem I had was there was not enough space for the two side columns and the main content (i.e. the checkcout) which pushed the right hand column to be under the main column...... except it covered the Next button.

I changed the Checkout layout to remove the right hand column - it was unnecessary in the context of the Checkout. Having just checked it again, I should do it with the Cart as well!

Thanks -well, glad you got it sorted. For now I've reverted back to V9 and all is well. I'll try V10 again shortly once I'v reset the shopping cart back to its factory settings.
