How to show Description in order

Is there any way for the full description to be shown when an order is received, and for it to then be printed in the invoice etc?

You'd need Crystal Reports or at least access to it, to make any changes to the invoice.

Can I ask why you'd want the whole description on there? It could make the invoice quite cluttered and long?

Some items have a long name/Tag so I have to put part of it in the description.

Okay, so you'll need Crystal Reports. Or search the forum for "Crystal Reports" and you'll find users that will customise your invoice for a small fee.

However, if you titles are too long for the Short Description field I fear that your titles are not concise enough and may have SEO implications.

Could you give me an example or a URL?

Actinic can do this without Crystal tinkering. If you go to Settings / Business Settings / Options, you'll find a checkbox called "Enable Extended Product Description For Customer Reports". Tick this and your product details have a new field where you can enter some text for the reports. See the help or tooltip for more info.

With an Access query you should be able to poulate this with all the existing product description text (backup first).

There may be a limit to the amount of text you can use.
