Discounts on purchase quantity

Again, probably a novice question, but can't seem to get it right.

Based on quantity of any items (not just same items) I want to offer as set discount eg.

Buy 2 get £10 off
Buy 3 get £20 off
etc

Customer does not have to buy the same item, so based on cart quantity not multiples of the same product.

All the items in the store are around the same price so there's not much chance of someone buying a £50 item and a £5 item to get the deal.

I've attached a sceenshot of what might work...... I've based the example using a product group, you will have to create a product group containing all of your products. You can apply multiple discounts to a product group.

Hope this is what you want.

Once you have done your groups or group make sure you put the highest qty discount first in order i.e.:
buy 3 get £20 off
buy 2 get £10 off
i did not do this at first and it took me ages to sus why i could never get the buy 3 offer to work
