I have a strange bug in my copy of Actinic (v9.0.5) or on my laptop where only one snapshot in three is a good snapshot (the others save as either incomplete or crash in the snapshot creation process) - the bug was present in earlier versions of v9 so I think it must be something that occurred in the original installation.
I've been through the support process with Actinic and as the site and program works fine on another computer they have advised me to uninstall Actinic from my laptop and re-install and try again. I've done that (using the Uninstall option from the Actinic Program menu) but the problem still exists. It's essential to have Actinic on my laptop (for catalogue creation) as I spend a lot of my day on the move.
I'm not very tecchie but I know from past experience that when you uninstall a program some files are left in the Windows Registry and I'm wondering if that's where the problem is.
My question is - how do I do a COMPLETE uninstall of Actinic so I am re-loading a truly fresh program? Any advice very gratefully received. I'm aware that tinkering with the Windows registry is a dangerous business!
My laptop is only a year old so I'm very reluctant to get a new one just for the sake of having Actinic work properly.
Thanks, Andy.
