I don't think this theoretical limit has changed in v9 however it may be different with the new Sql based Enterprise product. Give sales a call and check with them.

PS - I assume you are not wanting to have all these products in their own section.

      Hi ,
      thanks for your answer
of course not all in the same section (i have around 2000 sections)
what i was looking for more than a sale answer is an answer from someone who actually use actinic with more than 66000 products

Someone was posting an database error message just a few days ago that seemed to imply a 65536 limit. A bit of searching might find it.

          Hi
The limits are unlikely to have changed as Actinic still uses the same version of Access.
The maximum database size is 2 GB minus a little bit for system objects
The maximum size of a memo field is 65,535 characters if entered manually - 1GB if entered programatically (?)
Theoretically Actinic should handle well over 100,000 products based on my own database,
However, based on other database experience, indexes can be a problem.
For instance, MySql max's out at just over 30,000 for a numerical index.
I have a feeling that Access max's out at about 65,000+ for the same.
Looking at your site, I cannot see the product references.
If these use the automatically produced Actinic ones (numerical) this may be the problem.
However, in Version 5 of Catalog, we reached, 70,000 products without a problem - if you ignore the upload problem.
          All product reference were alphanumeric.
We have since split the site
          Regards
          Howard
