Minor but annoying cart bug

I'm running two sites. One in UK, other one in OZ.

In the first (the UK site), when you add a product to the cart the quantity shows as 1. The size permutation is listed underneath the product and no quantity shows against the permuation. Perfect.

In the second (OZ site) the size permutation has a quantity as well as the product itself. Annoying and slightly confusing for the punter.

The sites are basically identical and I can't figure out what's changed to make the Oz site behave differently to the UK site.
