Same for me to be honest, just happened to have done something similar yesterday and asked for some advise over at the other place.
Initially I thought I only needed to set up the web forwarding but was advised that I hsould also change the name servers to the 123-reg name servers. Initially nothing different was noticeable but by the morning it was working fine.
www dot traffordangling dot com is now defaulting to the 123 holding page, have you checked that web forwarding is still set-up in the control panel and the full url including 'http://www' is listed as the url to forward to.
Go to the control panel.
Manage DNS.
And you will see that 123reg will have changed your www ip address to theirs.
Change them all back to the original.
You will see the changes within the next day or earlier if you are lucky.
