    Webfusion email problem

    HI Guys

Has anyone had this problem with Webfusion before?

4 days ago email stopped working when sent from Actinic or from Mole Ends Order Manager, the error reads ATLAS [Exceeded Daily Quota]

I contacted Webfusion many times about this and all they seem to be able to say is that we have gone over the email daily limits of 200 emails an hour or 1000 a day.

They will not give us any info on what to do or how to get our email back on line.

Has anyone seen this before or have any ideas?

Thanks for any light you may be able to shed

    Regards
    Barry

If they're blocking the emails I'd do two things:

    1. Ask them for proof.

Ask them to send you a copy of the smtp logs so you can see what kind of emails these are.

    2. Check your PCs and server for hacked programs.

Run a complete virus scan on your PC. Look for any unidentified scripts on your server. Particularly any that are php. Also look in your error log for any signs of email problems.

After that I'd probably delete everything from the server and do a full refresh from Actinic.

Do you send all your 'order dispatched' emails in one go? If there are a lot of them this might be your problem.

      Thansk for the reply Mike

In the end we had no email for 8 days! all because we sent more than 200 emails in one hour. That really hurt our business in the big run up. The support from webconfusion was incredibly bad, much worse than no support at all in fact.

Anyway, go there in the end, thanks again Mike and a happy new year to everyone on the forum, thanks guys

Ooops yes sorry... the answer was that we had "exceeded our quota" of sending emails (200 per hour or 1000 a day) so they cut us off. This is on their Business account! took them 8 or 9 days to lift the ban.

It all wasnt helped by webconfusion having seemingly outsourced their technical support to Atlantis or somewhere else strange where normal words have lost all their meaning

currently looking for a new host if anyone has any reccomendations ?
