Option Files

Simple question again.. in the option files I have a product (a set of 4 knives) but I want to offer sepearte knives in the option files too, I thought Id done this but when you add the set of knives to the cart, it adds the first option in the option file too!
Do I have to add another "choose option" in the option file with £0.00 as the price, then the list of single knives below?

If so, do I have delete all the option files and start again or can I add a "choose option" in the option file with £0.00 as the price at the top, I cant see how?

I'm not sure what you mean by option files, i'm guessing that you are referring to attributes and choices, maybe even permutations. If you search the inbuilt help on those terms, you will get some great information with images explaining it all. Having a choose option at the top of the list, is available as a standard option on the screen that controls that area.

Im talking about "product options" then you cant edit that, you have to go to "permutations" got to www.toolman.co.uk > wood carving > KN100 and try and add that set on its own, the cart adds the first product in the option file too, I want people to add the set on its own or the set AND a seperate knife

You need to add a additional component for the extra knives, so you would have one for the set and then one for each individual one, they can then choose whichever ones they wanted.

don't know if you've got this worked out now but i got stuck with this a while back - you need a component for the set, and a component for each individual knife, you also need to click on 'general' in component dsetails and tick the box that says ' is optional' for each product.
