Product Reference for duplicated Products

Hi,

I'm new to Actinic and wanted to know how I can achieve the following:

When a product is duplicated, it will be stored in the database as 1! or 2!
prefixed to the original product reference.

Can I get the product reference that contains 1! or 2! when I add this
duplicated product to the shopping cart? If so, how can I get this?

This is basically required for the purpose of Analytics.

When a duplicate product is purchased, the original product is what is actually added to the cart, so i think you will not be able to do what you've asked.
