Email in HTML?

Hi there,

I wondered if it is possible to convert the confirmation email that is sent out to customers, into HTML.

I ask this, because I use a lot of digital downloads, and the automatically generated URLs are often so long that they break over a line, and cause my less technical customers problems.
e.g.

Click on this link to download: http://www.ursulajames.com/cgi-bin/d...e4e2e5b5e3e0b5

Note: Just seen that the forum automatically shrinks down the URL so I can't show it properly.

If the email was HTML, I could hide the URL behind a tag with some user-friendly link text.

Any ideas, or perhaps there's another way of achieving the same objective.

You may be able to do this but it's not a standard offering. See Norman's recent post on this:

I think NormanRouxel last week posted a method that might do this, did you try a search before posting? It's a very very recent conversation.

Yes I did do a search, but with 'HTML' and 'email' as my keywords, it was hard to narrow it down.

I'll try harder next time and skip to the other link now.
