    Mailing Lists

Is there an 'opt in' or 'opt out' option for mailings? I know sending what is regarded as 'spam' now is quite a big deal so are we allowed to send e-mail & post mailing to people if they have purchased from us or do they have to 'opt in'? If so is there an option for this anywhere?
    Thanks

You can email people that have purchased from your about there order and if they opt in you can send additional emails to them.

I don't think that there is a restriction on posting letters to them.

The mailing list function in Actinic allows you to select emails from orders based on fields you can setup in the Actinic checkout , so you can allow people to opt in using those.

        Hi

I have tended to take the view that one can send to existing customers using an opt out method. We do use a mail provider ymlp to, manage and then send our newsletters and we have found the service very good. It is easy to export the email addresses from Actinic and upload them to their server.
