HTML code in auto shortened full description

Just wondering if someone could help.

I'm using the code from the AUG to only display the first ten words of the full description and wondering if its possible to also add html to this area.

When the full description is shown on the single product page the code comes up fine but not when using the php statement on the previous page.

I am including the !!<>!! tags but do I need to do something different for this section or is it just not possible.

Well if the html is not in the first ten words it is going to get stripped out isn't it? It's one field with one rule? You can add your own html into the layout if it's generic, perhaps that's what you need.
