Product > Cost Price Field

I'm thinking of populating the Cost Price Field in one of my sites.

Now for the silly question;

My product price is currently inclusive of VAT, so when entering the Cost Price, should this be inclusive of VAT too?

The cost price field is really only for your reference unless you are going to
do some calculations with it, so it really is up to you. We use vat inclusive
