Retrieve Orders from multiple sites

It works from the Actinic order database. You can use our One Stop Automation program to automatically download the orders from several sites though.

No, we don't store card details in our program at all.

ok, do you see anyway of getting the card details over, we use khaos and when we are dealing with all the orders we retrieve orders from the website and then open khaos and import the orders from the actinic catalog database.

I think the latest version has 15 and you can import orders from up to 10 Actinic sites into each.

could we run more than 1 version of the program to deal with more than the 10 sites?

No but if you needed more and had purchased an annual license for the software we could increase the limit in a future version - it would require some UI changes so couldn't be changed in the currently released version.

Ok I have an idea someone tell me if this is too far fetched, when you submit your order in the checkout it sends a message to the server which in turn creates the order file for Actinic to retrieve.

could I not have all the shopping carts sending the order to the same server where Actinic can then retrieve orders and it will retrieve all orders from all the sites?

I'm not necessarily suggesting this as a way to operate, but...

If you used the same encryption key on all your websites, then it should be possible to download orders from multiple websites into a single actinic store.

The direction I'm thinking of here is that you'd need to create a script that copies order and payment files over to the common website and these would then be downloaded into Actinic at the same time as all the other orders.

Hi Mike,

im not quite sure what you mean, we tried something like this. I managed to edit the perl scripts so that when the .ord files are made the permissions allow the owner to download the file I then built a batch script that when run downloaded all the .ord files from our sites and placed them in one acatalog for that site to download however when you retrieve orders on that site it detects that the order wasnt made for that site and doesn't import the card details.

also how do I check the encryiption key?

The encryption keys, etc are held in Housekeeping > Security.

be careful when changing these as these are what Actinic uses to encrypt the order on the website. If they're changed, actinic won't be able to download orders created under the old key.

Mine (9.0.5) does the same so that sounds like a bug.

CTRL-C works fine though.
