Print/Preview Reports - Actinic crashes & closes

Since we upgraded from V7 to V9 about a year ago, we have been unable to view or print some of the reports. Particularly we are unable to view or print a TAX report. If we click on preview or print Actinic freezes up then crashes and closes out. You then have to restart Actinic but it will do the same thing over and over on the tax reports. Strangely we are able to view and print SALES ANALYSIS reports without any problem but we really need those TAX reports each month for our accounts.
Any ideas?

I would contact actinic support and let them have a look at it.

This could be caused by either the report using an invalid printer (check by clicking on printer setup when you print the report - Actinic uses a different printer for every report) or if your database is corrupt, perform a compact database from the housekeeping menu. If you are still having problems after trying those then you should contact Actinic support about it, it's not a common issue.

Yes, compact

We occasionally have Actinic crash when we click to Print. The problem may be different to yours. However, we have learnt to compact the database using Access more often, which in general reduces the number of times that Actinic crashes.

Actinic crashing when trying to print.

I had this problem after upgrading from 9.04 to 9.05-it was a corrupted report file (ends with .rpt) now I always keep separate backups of the report files.
