"Text for extended information button"

Whilst one can set what should be the global "Text for extended information button" in 'Settings','Site Options','Extended Information', where the default is "More..." If one enters a new setting say "Click for more info" it does NOT appear throughout the site either in existing products or newly created products.
Any ideas?

It works for me. On the product's Extended Information tab are you sure you are using Display By: "Extended Info Button" rather than "Text Link"?. Failing that try Housekeeping > Compact Databases > tick both > OK.

You have spotted my first mistake, I meant the <actinic:variable name="ExtendedInfoLinkText" /> which is not set in Site Options. However, can't find where it lives, or should I just hard code it and be done?

Just found this but it didn't seem to work. I feel a hard code coming on.

At the moment, Actinic is using a sytem variable for the text link, which is tied to the 'Link Text' field in the 'Extended Information' tab of the product. The variable is called "ExtendedInfoLinkText" and you cannot set the default value of this.

I suggest you replace this with your own user-definable variable. Or you could even just use the variable that does the text for the button. i.e replace "ExtendedInfoLinkText" with "ExtInfoButtonLabel".
