Anyone here successfully integrated Wordpress with Actinic Hosting? Yes there are lots of threads about merging the 2 but Actinic Sales tell me that we would need their Gold Hosting Package to have MySql for proper integration of Wordpress. No MySql under any standard packages. So we were thinking of redirecting a subdomain such as blog.domain.com to wordpress but wanted to keep our website name in the URL bar. Is this asking the impossible?

I cant see anyreason why that wouldn't work.
Actinic dont offer DNS services thus your domain registration is with a3rd party, create a sub-domain and point it to some hosting for the wordpress site on the sub domain

Yes we have spent quite some time trying to point subdomains one way or another - eg Zone Edit via CName referral - blog.gardenseedcatalogue.co.uk is still struggling though, so may need to look at another option.
Fasthosts have just recently allowed CName changes but only for new customers so us "oldies" are having to wait! Sam
