Cannot see how to do this.....
What I'd like to do is to have a section of products on my site that is only visible to a particular type of customer, let's call the section SPRINGSALE and let's call the customer group EXISTINGCUSTOMERS.
As I have several hundred existing customers, I have no wish to define an account for each. However, I'd like to define a single account which they can ALL use, details of which could be communicated by email in a mailshot.
I'd like this group (which will be a subsety of all retail site users) to be able to log on and see the SPRINGSALE section, and to order from it and of course enter their own address & contact details.
Trouble is I can't see how to define an account which will do this - Actinic seems to ask for quite specific buyer details e.g. email address which clearly won't be right for all those in the EXISTINGCUSTOMERS group.
Any ideas anyone? Is an account the best way to do this? Or is there some alternative? If not an account, how can I hide a section from some & not others?
