    2 shoppingcarts on one computer

    Hi everyone

I hope you can help, is it possible to have two Actinic shopping carts linked to two seperate websites on one computer, if so how do we go about this?

    Thanks

You will need an additional license from Actinic. If you intend adding further sites again then you any also want to consider Business Plus.

Hi, thanks for the fast response, we do actually have two licenses. Can we put both licensed products on one computer?

Yes you can - but each site needs to be running the same minor version. So you can have two sites at v10.0.0 or two sites at V9.0.5 but you cannot have two sites, one at v9.0.5 and one site at v9.0.3. You can also have v9 and v10 on the same computer.

Edit: The same applies with v8 sites.

I would consider talking to sales and converting to business plus where you get as many extra sites as you want for a single price, if it looks like you will be using more sites in the future. probably a lot more money but you dont have to worry about keeping all the same version etc as it runs from one location

You can set up extra sites from the file menu, file > sites > license new site and just input your license key.

Really appreciate all the good advice here, guys. The reason we are thinking of going down this 2 sites 1 computer route is that we have bought a new laptop, installed Actinic but when we try and install a snapshot from one of our other sites (it contains basic info, terms and conditions, clothing sizes etc) we get this error message

Catalog - Internet Application has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly"

We thought it may be a problem with the new laptop

Any ideas why we would get such an error message?

              Thanks

What version of Actinic is on your laptop and what version of Actinic is the snapshot created from? Are they the same?

If they are the same then perhaps your snapshot is faulty.

Same version, V8. We have tried several back ups, some going back as far as 2007, none seem to work, very frustrating!

which version of v8 is what you are interested in, not just the main number.

I'm assuming its a windows 7 laptop and Actinic V8 installed accordingly for this operating system.
See http://community.actinic.com/showthr...ght=windows+v8 for more info, Actinic needs to be installed outside of the 'Program Files' directory
