    Vat

    Hi All

With the new government in place I feel not before long they will put up VAT due to the current deficit in money that the government have.

When the previous government put down the VAT I had to put a discount in place against each product to show this, which took minutes. But if the VAT increases I can see customers shying away from our website due to a surcharge in the advertised price.

Please look at this example page on how we originally set up the website- http://www.warmrooms.co.uk/acatalog/...owel_Rail.html , as you will see I have entered the price individually within the Attribute (including the VAT) - I like this in one way because we may have 20 plus items on one page so the customer does not have to scroll down and down on the page etc - But if a VAT increase comes about it is going to be a nightmare.

I have in total approximately 10-12,000 permutations (at least) on the website, which you will see is a massive job - any ideas on how to do this incase VAT does change - I understand whatever answer you give me I believe will be labour intensive.

    Thanks Brian

Actinic can put the price into the drop down automatically.

    See: http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=22834

I believe V9 corrected the problem with prices showing ex-vat so there's now no longer any need to make the adjustments discussed in the linked thread.

So I would guess what you need to do is remove all the manual entries you made and use the automatic method instead.
