    Actinic reading its own files

I may be missing something obvious here, but if I edit one of the html files in the SiteHTML folder in Dreamweaver (merely adding text, nothing more), and save it back to the folder; next time I open Actinic and re-activate the site I would expect to see my edited page. This doesn't seem to happen, I still get the unedited page. Is there something mysterious about the way Actinic reads its files....?

Folders PreviewHTML and SiteHTML are places where Actinic puts automatically generated pages. It's pointless to edit anything in there as they will be replaced the next time you do an Update, Refresh or Preview.

Actinic builds these pages from "Layouts" held in the "Library". Use the Design Tab to make changes there.

Have a look at the Starter Guide as this has tutorials on making layout changes.

Don't touch those pages, work solely within actinic, there's a preview window in actinic to see your work.
