link taking me to half way down page

Whenever I click on a link to a product page that uses the ss000001.pl script, it takes me to the top of the product on the page rather than the top of the page (ie. I have to scroll up to see the top of the page). Im guessing that this might be thought best practice but I wonder if this can be changed. I have tried commenting out the name="top" but that has not changed the situation.

If you have multiple products on the page then this is desirable behavior as it what your customers will expect to happen.

If you only have one product per page then you can stop the scrolling by removing the product anchor tag from your Product Layout(s). Edit each product layout you use and look for the line:

<a name="<Actinic:Variable Name="EncodedProductAnchor"/>"></a>

Comment it out so

<!-- <a name="<Actinic:Variable Name="EncodedProductAnchor"/>"></a> -->
