Price question when using components

Hi
My site sells different size bottles at different prices. I have created my master product and use a component/attribute and choices to offer the customer different sizes at different prices. The price grid also shows the different sizes and prices perfectly.

That all works fine but what I find confusing is that in additon to the price grid, the price of the master product is also shown.

Is this working as designed or should, maybe, if the product has different choices at different prices, the master price should not show.

enter the master price as £0?
It won't show it then (and, if your pricing model is 'sum of components', Actinic isn't using it either)
