V9 crashes on order download

A few weeks ago V9 starting crashing occasionally on order download, it is more regular now sometimes six times a day, I wonder if anyone else suffers this.

I done the usual compact database and contacted support who could find nothing even after sending them a snapshot?

Did you send support the dmp files that were created when the program crashed, if so then they should be able to find out what was happening from those.

I certainly did - not too impressed as I recently was persuaded to invest in the cover...

The files don't always give the answer, they tell you what the program was doing when the crash occurred but sometimes you just get pointed to a load of system dlls.

You need to try and find a reproducible scenario and then they should be able to sort it out.

It might be worth considering upgrading to V10 as it is much more stable. I haven't had a crash on my live system since I installed it just after it was released. I used to get almost daily crashes with V9.

I have a test version of V10 nearly ready with lots of colour changes as my site is black with white text and the V10 checkout plays havoc with colours (another thread).
