    Amending PayPal Options in Checkout

I have Business Plus v9.0.3 and we use PayPal Website Payments Pro which naturally integrates itself into the checkout pages.

The problem is that the customer can use the full checkout process and pay with a credit card or opt at any of the checkout stages to go straight to PayPal to complete their purchase and pay directly within the PayPal system.

Hence, at the 2nd stage where a customer is asked to select their country (screen prior to completing the full address) they can bypass that, go straight to PayPal AND shipping is therefore not calculated/included as the shipping is worked via country/zone and if bypassed.

Can I remove the PayPal tab until the final payment screen, so the customer has the option then, or can I include the 'country selection option' earlier in the process (which seems unlikely as there is only 1 option before)?

I thought this would have been common place amongst users using PayPal Pro and there must be a solution to this (even if not found on the forum/AUG/KB).

Easiest solution - stop using PayPal Pro. Switch to Paypal (standard) website payments, or get a proper PSP.

Thanks...however, PayPal std doesn't give us the use of a Virtual Terminal which we find useful and a PSP is something for the long term. However, as eBay only allows PayPal and not a PSP on an account, our preference is to stay with PP as the transactions on our website are combined with those on eBay to give better discounting levels for turnover (on their charges to us).

      There must be another way.....

Nigel - for your own sake I have to ask whether you are aware of the potentially very large fines which might apply if you are using PPP and/or your own website to collect card details and you are not PCI DSS compliant. Forgive me if you already know this and are happy to take the risk, or if indeed you are already PCI DSS compliant.

I think somehow the "long term" needs to be addressed right now.

The solution used by most people is PSP/MOTO/PayPal Website Payments this wil cover your requirement and get you compliant. PSPs tend to be cheaper than PayPal so you may not lose your discounting advantage

to be honest I would do this if I were shopping on your site too, by using PP website payments I am swapping to a PCI compliant process, by remaing on PPP I can not be sure you look after my card details in a secure manner.
