Can anyone tell me whether in Search Settings "Index Products" means indexing the Full Description as well as the Brief Description?

I've discovered that on the Results tab of Search Settings you have under Display Options the option of checking Full Description. So I suppose that if it will display it it will also search it.
I was going to try your experiment but failed. I've not had Search working so far because the initial catalogue was so limited that searching would only lead to frustration. I assumed that just by checking "Show searching on Front Page" I would get the Search box magically appear but it didn't.
Is there something else I need to do?Comment
