    Sagepay URLS Version 8

    Hi.

I am running version 8.5.3 and need to change the new urls, can someone tell me where to do this in the code, and when please? Will this work immediately or do I need to wait?
I can see lots of threads about this, however nothing is really clear about the version of actinic I have.

    Appreciate any help.

    Thanks.
    Wayne.

This thread starting from post 100 discusses sagepay URLs and 8.5.3.

    http://community.actinic.com/showthr...t=41876&page=7

however if you are referring to this which Sagepay are sending out at the mo, you probably dont need to do anything as it refers to IPs not URLs - actinic uses URLs.

    Hello,

Important information regarding Sage Pay’s system upgrade

We are preparing our system for an essential upgrade which will dramatically enhance the service you receive from Sage Pay by increasing speed and capacity.

We are now ready to release the second and final stage. We will be changing the IP Address of the following domains during this upgrade: live.sagepay.com and test.sagepay.com – The Sage Pay Live payment gateway address and our test environment address.

    How does this affect me?

You will need to make some technical changes to your website if ANY of the following statements are true:

    1) You have hardcoded your IP addresses within your website/shopping cart

    2) You have cached your DNS entries

    3) You have firewall rules in place to only accept access to and from your systems from specific IP addresses

If you answer Yes to any of the above you'll need to download technical details to configure your systems

Please note: If a 3rd party is hosting or providing your shopping cart, they will need to make changes. We will do everything we can to notify the 3rd party, however we advise you to forward this email to them too.

Because the work will be undertaken throughout August 2010, we strongly recommend that you don't hardcode the IP Addresses, instead use the domain names listed in the documentation provided. This will ensure that your Payment Processing service will not be interrupted by the work.

If you answer NO to all of the above:

You will not need to make any changes to your website and your transactions will not be affected by the IP Address switch. Your local DNS server will automatically update with the correct IP Address.

If you have any questions at all or require further clarification, please don’t hesitate to call our support team anytime on 0845 111 44 55 or email us

Thank you for your continued support, while we work to upgrade our systems.

    Kind regards

    The Sage Pay Operations Team
