    Hi All

Ive edited my PageTitle in the past so it reads:

    Legendgames [sectionName] at legendgames

Ive not done it ALL in the layout, as that still shows:

<title>PageTitle at legendgames</Title> as the code,

so Ive edited PageTitle somewhere - but WHERE!!!! any pointers please, ive searched and searched!

Page Title can be modified in the "Page Settings" area of a brochure/section page.

May I suggest you arrange it so that your company name goes at the end of your page title.

Search engines deem text at the beginning as being more important, so you be optimising it for page content.

thats exactly why im editing it!!

ah - I dint explain - I know i can add page titles to pages, (which I do in some) but i'm talking about the pages where I leave the title blank - and actinic builds the title from the page name. So my page Name (in General) is Top Trumps, but my Page Title in Page Settigns tab is blank.

i neeed to edit the PageTitle variable itself...

Not possible to change, the only solution is to do it properly in the first place, ie do not leave it blank ever.

well.... OK! but I cant work out how or why I get what I do then. Could have swork I edited the code to get what I wanted.

          to re-itterate, my layout says:

          <title>PageTitle at legendgames</title>

          and my html is:

          <title>Legendgames TopTrumps at legendgames</title>

that initial Legendgames must be coming from the PageTitle variable!

          any ideas?????

That is because you have left the Page Title in Actinic blank for that section, put TopTrumps in and the first legendlames will disappear.

If you fill in a title, then that should show, if you don't you will get the version with the company name first, then the section name, it's actinic failsafe mode cos it's blank.

If that is not happenign on yours, then provide the code for your title area or check it yourself against a standard theme, i suspect something is borked.

is this just me being stupid?

by default, actinic sets PageTitle to your shop name and the section name...

                OK, thats it isnt it.

retreat to dark corner.... mutter mutter.....
