Actinic Failed to Open the Database

Actinic failed to open the database DSN=ActinicCatalog9.
The database may be corrupt or the version may be newer than expected.
    This prevents Actinic working.

    The error was:

The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time.
    Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed

Please refer to the troubleshooting section in the MU Installation and User guide for possible solutions.

I have read a number of posts on this, and have tried everything suggested - renaming, and copying
    - going through control panel - repair

In fact it can't even be opened in access, just comes up with a similar message, about trying to access same data.

    no network connected

    V9 - business plus.

Even downloaded Stellar pheonix Acccess Recover - which just creates an unusable file for actinic. missing tables etc.

Somebody please help ... am beginning to think I have lost the lot (I have a backup from the beginning of the week)

    Thanks.

    Hi Austin
The clue is "newer" - Actinic works on an old version (2000) of Access.
Has someone opened up the database and clicked on update?
If so, and your backup was working, reinstall it
    Regards
    Howard

Nope, no-one would have opened it, let alone click update

        Hi Howard,

If you can't open it in access even after a repair then it's almost certainly a gonner, you will have to use a backup copy.
