    Adding order back in

    Hi there,

    Anyone know of an easy way to add orders back into actinic, I only have receipt emails, or printed invoices

    Also, is there a way to set the latest order number ?

    There's no method of easily adding an order back in, however you can change the order number sequence by going to Help | Troubleshooting - Order Number.

      Thanks duncan, must remember to back up everyday !

      Time to add 700 orders back in via - New Order screen. And set the offline order number to the first missing 1. Only way I can see to get around my corrupt database.

      I may think about writing an email parser to add orders direct into actinic from emails. I have some access compare software, so I know which fields/tables are affected when an order is added.

      Could just write to a new database, then import the tables into the last backup.

      Anyway, thats for another day ...

      BACKUP REGULARLY ACTINICER's !!!! feel my pain.

        Backup first and then consider trying this...

        Copy your messed database to another location, restore your last snapshot and then try importing orders from the messed database. (File | Import Orders) It wil probably fail - but certainly worth a shot.

          Tried that, same message - "microsoft jet engine sopped because you and another user ..............."
