Is there anyway to retreive my website (and others that I have built) from the web? I hae had my computer crash with all the websites i have built on and the snapshots I have are old. Is there anyway to get these back from the web? Lesson learnt - backups are essential. Would appreciate any advice. Thank you

Short answer is no I'm afraid. You can only download the images and cut and paste the text from the web. I think you will have to revert to the old snapshots.
Use an FTP client to download everything from the server, that will give you the images, css and text etc. Then unfortunately it will be quite a bit of work to get back to where you are.
As you say lesson learnt.

Get another PC and install the original hard disk into a caddy.
Just because the PC won't Boot into windows doesn't mean the files can't be read.

I wouldn't go anywhere near a computer shop* or recovery software without first trying to read the files from a caddy on another PC.

hi Allisan
We had a machine crash a few years ago where we lost everything. Why not download your entire htdocs folder, then merge those files with a new license site within actinic, that way it will get the necessary perl scripts it's missing. Close and reboot actinic and you should have a 90% recovery of the website. Give it a try and let us know. That's all that we did.
