We manage two sites with Business Plus. We wondered if it is possible to put details of a product from one site into a page in the other one, without duplicating the product details? ie if someone clicks the checkout button they jump to the other site's checkout page.
The reason for this quirky requirement is that the products are priced in dollars on one site and sterling on the other and we can't be updating prices every hour as the exchange rate changes.
As an example, imagine site 1, priced in sterling. The product page would have details for product 1 with the price in pounds and a checkout button that proceeds as you would expect. Underneath, product 2, priced in dollars, with a checkout button that goes to the dollar site.
I think that the solution to this may be partially an illusion of a normal product page, with the dollar priced product simply some text and images with a hard link to the other site. As long as it looks and feels right to the user that is all that matters.
If anyone has any sort of solution to this I'll owe them a pint. I mistakenly gave the impression to the client that this was possible when answering a few other queries. They have now sent me a spec and a timescale!
Any suggestions greatfully received.
